Forged Cutting Dies

These dies are bent from annealed tool steel, then fully hardened and tempered, and finally ground and sharpened by our expert die makers. These are our strongest and most durable dies. Some key features of our forged dies include:

          -Tight tolerance of (+/-) 1/64" (up to +/- .005" in certain cases)

          -Capable of being re-surfaced and re-sharpened many times throughout the life of the die

          -Fully hardened to maintain edge durability after re-surfacing

          -Able to cut difficult materials (hard plastics, heavy leathers, etc.)

          -Can be built "straight inside wall" to prevent part distortion when cutting thick or stiff materials

          -Can be built "clear-thru" to allow cut parts to pass thru the back of the die

          -Can be built "straight outside wall" to allow shapes to be cut out of a larger part without distorting the larger part

          -Standard heights include 3/4" ,  1-1/4" ,  1-1/2" ,  2" ,  2-1/4"  ,  &  3-1/2" (Custom heights available upon request)
